Father's Day

Took mum and dad to The Grove for father's day. We used to love it there, it was always special. They've just refurbished it so I thought we'd have a look.

To be honest it looked no different, the dessert section had been moved downstairs but the price had been given a little makeover. What would have cost £150 previously was now £240. I tried not to show my shock as I hid the bill from them, slid my card in the card machine and made a mental note to live off air for the next 3 months ...

However, it was a lovely meal with a chocolate tap to drown as many desserts in four afters. And a fun, memorable day with mum and dad, so screw the expense, it was priceless.
