WW2 Airfield Control Tower.

This tower is situated at was once an airfield known at the time as RAF Wiggonby, It was  Great Orton Airfield and was opened in June 1943, but it did not become operational until October of that year; even then it was a satellite airfield to RAF Silloth which was nearby. The site of one of the runways can be seen on the Watchtree Nature reserve.
