A Sunny Interlude
The last few days have been cloudy, cool, and wet at times so when the sun burst forth this morning I was soon outside, picking the first bilberry harvest for our breakfast.
Bees, bugs and butterflies also decided to make the most of the sun and the large patches of oregano and mint in our garden were literally buzzing, though this butterfly merely fluttered.
Jan's picture shows the wild strawberries, rasberries and bilberries that we harvested in this sunny interlude.
A bit more energy today than I had yesterday and some small jobs got fixed, including repotting an indoor tree, a task that had been waiting four years to get done!
In the evening we went in to town to listen to Iain Thomson, a very musical shepherd who has moved from Mull to Härnösand. He sang many songs he'd composed himself, and some traditional songs, as well as one song in Swedish.
Tomorrow our friend Kjell, known on Blipfoto as Shelling, arrives for the weekend. Let's hope the sun shines a little while he is here.
