Painted Lady

Still amazed by the painted lady migration, the nature phenomena that occurs every ten years. Last time (2009) around 11 million of these beauties made their way to the U.K. surely this year their numbers will be well beyond this figure. A lovely sight, although the patterns of visitations seems to be patchy. I was talking to a relative in Sussex about it and he said he has barely seen them.
