Searching for Riber Castle

We can see a castle from the field we are in which we were told is called Riber Castle and so went in search of it today

The mock Gothic Castle was built by John Smedley in the 19th century and has since been a boys school, a zoo and a food store for the army during the war. You used to be able to wander around the empty house but recently they have been converting it into flats. The views must be fantastic from the castle but this is as close as we could get...not sure if it was part of a moat but it looked very nice
