Shutter speed 1/13 second

Water is difficult to photograph especially if you use automatic settings as I do. My camera has chosen f/6 and a shutter speed of 1/13 second and made the running water look like this. And yet we know that this isn't what it looks like to the eye. The thunder shower went over so quickly that I didn't have time to start experimenting with the settings. Oh well ;-( 

At least it tells that it was raining heavily here for about an hour.
