Quarter peal

Today we rang only the second quarter peal ever rung on church bells in France, a quarter of bob doubles.  It was a first for the two youngsters and I hadn't rung one for about twenty years so the brain rust was flaking off in chunks. It was completed at the third attempt in 42 minutes.  Afterwards, T. and C. took us out for a lovely lunch as they are off tomorrow.
