What fun we had

Well, it may not be the best photograph, but it is certainly the best visual description of our day!  What fun we had. Ron drove us to this wonderful lake and park on the outskirts of Delft where we walked and played and had  lunch by the lake, but best of all, had a pedalo ride - poor Yuki and Ron were the pedal power - I expect they'll have six packs and mighty thighs tomorrow, but Aya and I enjoyed ourselves immensely  ....

Then all too soon it was time to say goodbye as they left me at Rotterdam train station late afternoon for what was a very smooth, comfortable and enjoyable journey home. For the record: 17.00 train from Rotterdam, immediately boarding the Eurostar for St Pancras upon arrival at Brussels, four stops on the underground for Liverpool Street, straight on to the 20.30 departure for Chelmsford, and in through my front door at 21.15. How much easier, quicker and calmer than flying and dealing with the time wasting hassle and stress that is mandatory at airports these days - and I got to see the green that is Holland, Brussels, France and England all from my window!
