The sunshine before the rain

We've been predicted storms, buckets of rain and snow down to 500 m. This evening, I rugged up and sat on the top step (minus my little pooch, who is apparently being very good and is having a great time), watching our birdlife. This little one was flitting around on the fence, right in front of my face. Not at all bothered by me being there.

I liked the light on him. The rain still hasn't come.
