Poplars

Every night in the summer, well nearly every night, the winds off the Pacific, straight through the Van Duzer Corridor of the Oregon Coast Range, light up these poplars in our back yard, and they rattle and shake with the wind. They are semi-difficult to photograph, but I think they will be my theme over the next few weeks. I made Tom pose next to them for scale. They are 70-80 feet tall, these big old gentle giants, singing to us, most every night.
