Around the World in Eighty Days

I have bought over the years the accompanying books to all Michael Palin's travel programmes but had no copy of the very first series broadcast in 1989. After much searching Mrs Ken34 unearthed a very good copy on the internet and it was one of my Christmas Presents. I am looking forward to reading it and I also need to buy a copy of his most recent series on Brazil...a visit to the January Sales perhaps!
This evening we have been to see The Hobbit. I am a little sceptical about producing three very long films ( the first is over 2 and a half hours) from a pretty slim book but the film is quite stunning to look at in places and the action is unrelenting.....and I am no great Tolkein fan!
