Amsterdam

A back blip, because I couldn't post my camera pictures during my trip.
We spent a day in Amsterdam as a tourist. It's amazing how much you don't know about your "own" capital city. 
In the afternoon, we went to the Dam for one of these free walking tours. I can highly recommend them, because you learn a lot about the city and its history in about 2.5 hours. We had a great guide who was a history teacher, so we learned a lot.
Afterwards we met up with a friend in an Irish cafe near the Dam. And around dinnertime we went to Sampurna to splurge on a great Indonesian "rijsttafel". Something you must have tried once in your life.
