From Quebec City to La Malbaie

Another busy day through some very interesting spots along the way to our current destination: La Malbaie in the Charlevoix area.  This is by far my favorite spot thus far :)

Here is a pic of our first stop -- the Montmorency Falls. I liked the rainbow at the bottom of the falls.  Up top is a suspended bridge and between the top and the bridge, you can also catch zip liners zooming by (wish we'd had the time to do that!). 

We had multiple stops on our daylong journey: the Falls; the Ile d'Orleans and its wonderfully rural scenes; the Shrine of St Anne de Beaupré, which beautifully marries old and new religious imagery; Baie St Paul, a well heeled resort town; and several great viewing spots along the 'route du fleuve' which meanders up the banks of the St Lawrence.  The tides were impressive as were the views. 

Looking forward to exploring the area in the next two days.
