The National - Kelvingrove Bandstand

Wow!!! The rain lashed the whole night but what an incredible night of music. I’m now at home drying out, cuppa in hand and literally can’t stop grinning. This is the Kit as the support were exceptional, Lauren Mayberry of Chvrches joined them for I Need My Girl (my favourite ever song of theirs), and then an emotional cover of Frightened Rabbit’s Backwards Walk. Matt Berninger is so engaging, I felt sorry for the poor tech guy trying to manage his mike lead all night, as Matt was off wandering through the crowd at any opportunity, even managing to get right to the back directly behind where I was standing.
