You Had One Job To Do ............

Yesterday 3 council workers turned up on the playing field with a van and some laser guided line painting equipment. By lunchtime they had unloaded the 2 pieces of equipment.
This morning when PD and I went out  I found that they had painted a line across the field, a very large square, a football pitch (with a kink in one for the lines …… How? the painting machine is automatic and runs along the laser line) and a slightly bigger pitch - about 8' longer (I thought football pitches were a standard size). However,  I have never seen one with this triangle before.

After this championship quality piece of  incompetence I thought I would keep an eye for any more.
There was the "Playpark" where they have taken away all the equipment and stuck up a "No Ball Games" sign!
The drains that they put in - but completely missed the lowest part of the road.
That was on the same road (it used to be the main road when I moved out here) where the put the barriers to stop cars and motorbikes taking a shortcut ..…. the bit of road they laid round it kind of defeats the object. Which PD demonstrates.
There is also the street with over 100 houses which the builders were given permission for the name ……. and then withdrew permission because it 'didn't fit in with the surrounding streets after the entrance walls had been built.


Not a bad collection for 1/2 mile in a straight line.
No wonder the council is in financial straights - their complete ineptitude has been going on for years.
