Egg Lover!

Today has been a very mixed bag weather-wise. This morning was quite bright & I had a lovely couple of hours wandering around the shores of Loch Rannoch. Next stop Rannoch Station which is 18 miles along the side of the loch and up into the middle of nowhere. Quite an adventure but worth it. By this point it was raining and the hills were all misty etc. The station has  tea room which is well worth a visit for lunch etc. Back to the cottage and a couple of hours later, the lovely pine marten showed up again. The cottage owners have told me they like eggs and raisins and peanuts. So that's what has been put out in the hope of seeing them. It's worked so far! In it came at around 6pm for an egg - it took it into the bushes to eat it. 5 minutes later that was repeated. It came back a third time and this time munched the raisins and the peanuts. Just great :) 

The feeders here are very busy. Earlier today there were 12 (twelve) jays! I've never seen so many all together :)
