sunshine in the foothills

With our sunny mornings and afternoon storms, the sunflowers have burst forth on our surrounding foothills.
And with sunflowers come a whole microcosm of life, including ants and ladybugs along the sturdy stems, and bees and other insects harvesting in the middle of the bloom.
