Rest in peace lovely Alison

I turned in early from the evening party but just after midnight I was awoken by a call on my mobile and knock on my door from Helen.

My aunt Alison had been on the dance floor (she's 80) and had just dropped dead! Her heart had been bad for a while.

A smile never left her face since she arrived at the castle, in fact it rarely ever did. She loved being here, was so excited about Hollie's wedding, was so proud of Mark's degree success, loved being amongst her family.

Recently I had got a lot closer to her and felt privileged to have her as a friend and Godmother.

My final memories will be of her dancing to Abba on Monday 6 August 2019, the night she passed away (see extras).
