Downpours.....!!!

A couple of mad thundery downpours today...and a quick run into the garden to take this....can’t think-of the name of these wee flowers but their ‘hanging down ‘ look just about describes the garden at the moment....
It’s so wet I’m glad I didn’t invest any money in bedding plants this year....
The painting is going great....and I now have all the ‘bits’ having ordered the shower door this morning for the make-over of our small bathroom upstairs.....And we’ve finished the design of our windows and doors and hope to get the go ahead from our grant people to order them one day this week!!

All kinds of incentives at the moment to upgrade your home to environmental eco standards but still a bit difficult to get the work done and to get the go ahead to do it...
For us they have recommended the windows and doors...replace our skylights...a stove in our open fireplace and solar panels on the roof....all which are under the grant scheme.
We also need to insulate our attic up to current standard and insulate our internal external walls...as our house isn’t suitable for the external wrap insulation...
Interesting times..!!
