A day at the sea side

We spent the day at Portabello beach today. It was a bit cloudy but lovely and warm still. This didn’t stop the kiddies have a great play in the water. They were fully entertained for about two hours before we stopped to have a picnic. They were completely drenched and covered in sand. Good job I came prepared with changes of clothes and a towel!

We then walked right the way along the promenade with a stop in the amusements. The town itself was lovely and we stopped in a nice coffee shop for some refreshments.

For tea this evening we went to a pub/restaurant near the castle. I had a delicious chicken breast stuffed with haggis. When in Scotland...
