Across the Forth

Before heading north, we made our to the Playhouse and a back stage tour, which was really interesting. I really enjoyed seeing how the theatre worked, some of the challenges that the technical crews have to overcome and hearing stories about different productions.

We also got to go on stage which was set up for Scottish Ballet's Crucible which we'd seen on Friday, I also enjoyed seeing props casually dotted about back stage.

We then visited my Dad and M in Leven for lunch before heading to Pitteneweem and its Arts Festival. MrT bought a small painting from a friend and we also spoke to the artist who painted another of our paintings and who confirmed the red barn in it is the one we pass when driving to Perth. The artist lives in Dunkeld and we had aquaitances in common - small world.

The view is from the harbour looking over to East Lothian. My 5th great grandfather was born in Inveresk and so would have looked in the opposite direction.  He was orphaned at an early age and at some point in his life made his way to Fife where he married and had 4 children, 3 of whom settled in Dundee.
