A bit of excavating going on ...

..... we live very near to a Roman village and as I was driving past this field it was a hive of activity. The field once
belonged to a private school and when the school closed down it was sold and bought by English Heritage. In the background you may be able to see a boarded up building which was the school pavilion. It was a lovely little pavilion which has sadly fallen into disrepair. I must go back and see if I can find out a bit more about it as there are supposed to be Roman remains there.
