Old station bridge

This is the bridge on the railway platform near my house. I've been meaning to blip it for ages and thought today was good as there are no trains running.

This bride dates from 1956. It never ceases to amaze me how these bridges stand the test of time. My guess is they were over-specified when built and therefore have lasted longer than ever thought. This is good!

I wonder of bridges built in 2013 will be quite so robust.
