Casualty

One of my dahlias got broken a few weeks ago, probably by a pheasant barging past it.

I dipped it into some rooting powder and stuck it in the ground, not expecting much, but it seems to be holding it's own.

I've had to cut off some leaves which were dying off but otherwise its OK.

I doubt that I'll see any flowers on it but it may produce a new tuber that I can replant next year.
