The Steak Pie

All Hail the Pie. Just incase you didn't make it to the table on time, or didn't feel able to indugle, here is The Steak Pie. I give it capitals as it should be a Proper Name and deserves Noun status.

All family managed to the table, some a little tired and myself with the first hangover in over 3 years. My poor sister managed with an incredibly sore back, she spent the rest of the day moving gingerly and lying on the floor.

Hogmany was fabulous fun. Good food, marvellous cocktails and dancing all night long. Various youngsters joined us throughout the night including Hannah L and her very new beau. The brave boy came straight in and introduced himself. He didn't seem to flinch at all the madness around him. I will never forget the image of Julie rocking up with her air guitar and giving him a personal performance. Nor Hannah's mother flushing with embarrassment and asking how on earth the roles had reversed so quickly as she found herself trying to adjust her behaviour to impress the daughter's boyfriend.

I like a new year that starts as I would wish it to continue, full of fun, frolics and laughter. Happy New Year. Hope 2013 is a good one for all.
