Summer evenings..

Are for sitting in the garden and enjoying your friends company.

This evening we went over to our lovely friends, J&S, for supper and a G&T or two.

Last time we saw them we had been chatting about their youngest sons wedding next year and, in my head, I thought I could go with J to buy her hat but what came out of my mouth was ‘ooh, we can go hat shopping ‘.... as if I was expecting an invite. Genuinely that is not what I meant and tonight we were given a save the date card. Of course we would be delighted to attend but think I need to chat to her to make sure we haven’t taken somebody else’s place due to my faux pas:-)

It was lovely to catch up and warm enough to spend all evening in the garden.
