Deanery Pilgrimage

Our deanery organised a pilgrimage along the canal this morning, with stops at five churches along the way. The total distance was 12.5 miles. 

Our group couldn't manage the full distance so I organised one of our circular walks of 5 miles, timed to link in with one of the sections along the canal which included two churches. It was good to walk with others along the way for a while before we broke off and returned cross country.

I had another commitment so I had to leave the group as they went for the usual pub lunch. I just had enough time to get home, shower and change and get out to a surprise 80th birthday party for one of our congregation, which included afternoon tea.
