Picturesque
Sat around trying to decide on fringe things to go to for a while this morning with some washing on, then headed off to Little Sparta to explore the gardens and sculptures by Ian Hamilton Finlay. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and finding the examples of lettering carved into stones and wood scattered around. Less keen on the WWII items though.
Slightly frustrating journey to Newhaven to get lunch but delays with traffic and a huge queue at the fish and chips place meant we gave up and ended up having rather delicious pizzas at the new place near the flat. Then off to the first fringe event...a rather dreadful play about trying to mock up and film the moon landing ....that’s an hour of my life I won’t get back! Still, you have to see some nonsense!
Just time for a cup of tea then over to Tynecastle stadium to see the LA Phil playing film music to a noisily appreciative audience. Rather marvellous! Massively busy getting out and home, but worth going,
