Cool water

The river is still running with a fair flow.  Rather worrying is the fact that the council has not cleared the bushes and trees growing on the river bed.  Although these are attractive, the risk is that flash floods will rip them out, then pile them up as a temporary dam and then the dam will burst causing catastrophic flooding downstream.  They always used to do this job but the current administration is spending money on other priorities. 
Yoga in the park was very pleasant this morning.  Family is arriving this afternoon so we have been getting ready.  The cricket has been on the radio - the sound of an English (or French) summer!
