Overlooking Loch Ness on New Year's day 2013

Remarkably, after the festivities of Hogmanay and in to the wee sma' hours of New Years day, I was able to climb one of the hills overlooking Loch Ness and Drumnadrochit. It was a bit of a climb, but it cleared my head, and wasn't this view worth it?

The picture was taken about 1pm on the afternoon, but already the sun was low, casting colours and shadow across the scene.

My New Year resolution is to try and Blipfoto every day of 2013. We shall see. There would be every incentive if I thought I'd capture a scene as enthralling as this on a regular basis.
