We are family

I work in the old Park Hospital in Oxford, which is still used to provide mental health services for children and families. The reception area has been thoughtfully (and vividly) decorated, led by service users.

I walk past this picture every day, but had never before stopped to look at it. I like the bright colours. But are they happy? (only one person is smiling). And are they actually a family? (not sure if there's a father figure).

This year I hope I'll notice lots more interesting things which I used to just pass without paying attention!
