The Coldstones Cut
This morning we went to the high point of Greenhow Hill near Pateley Bridge to visit The Coldstones Cut, an art installation (or interesting viewpoint) at the top next to the quarry.
We enjoyed walking round the spirals to reach the viewpoints and jumping on the red blob in the middle. L also loved watching the diggers and dumper trucks which were hard at work in the quarry.
For lunch we went to a very quirky café on the main road in Pateley Bridge and then had an ice cream in the playground. L had a good time on the slides and singing songs in the bandstand there too.
She’s exhausted tonight... broke down just after her dinner, wanting her bedtime comforter and telling us she wants to go home. We feel she’s just looking for a bit of normality as it’s the longest time she’s ever been away from home (3 nights being our longest holiday since she was born and we’re here for a week). She’ll be fine after a night’s sleep.
