Above Warness (Day 1548)

It was an early start today to catch the ferry across to Eday.
The job I was going to look at was to check the thermostat on a hot water cylinder I fitted a couple of months ago, and make a small adjustment to it. It took five minutes. Measuring up for a replacement kitchen sink for another customer was an unexpected "while you are here job" which took another five minutes. Giving advice to another customer on the best options for water heating and central heating took about half an hour and a visit to the fire station to check what will be needed for a new water heater used up another five minutes. The ferry got me to Eday at 9 am and the ferry home wasn't until 5pm.
Eday isn't very big, a drive around didn't take long. I parked up and took myself along the Warness Walk, along the clifftops. The path is very little used and the tall grass was wet enough to soak me from my knees down. I walked along in a cloud of colourful fluttering butterflies and moths, and enjoyed the walk despite getting wet. The absence of wind meant it was a warm wander.
