Dave Kroyer

Today was first day of InDog Elite Center's Nose Work seminar with an American instructor; Dave Kroyer, who is the owner of Canine Headquarters. He has years of experience handling, training and coaching in the areas of IGP, Ring Sport, Police K9, American Kennel Club Obedience, Nosework, Agility and Tracking. 

I originally thought I was going to work Gollum this weekend, but Dave's methods are so different from what he is used to, so I decided not to confuse him and work Hero instead. 

So far I have only seen the first steps of his methods and I still have a lot of questions, but we will see what tomorrow brings. Dave does have a lot of success, when teaching and training in the States, so I am open minded and excited to see what happens, when we continue the work.  

A good day though and it is always interesting to see new dogs work and be introduced to new methods.
