Barracking

These are St Georges' Barracks in Gosport. They were used up until the 1970s as soldiers barracks but were since vacated and recently converted into "modern living apartments". Interesting bit of folklore about these - in the 19th century when the barracks were comissioned there was a mix up in the planning office and the plans for the Gosport barracks were sent to India and the the barracks planned for India were instead buiilt in Gosport. Seems cock ups at government levels aren't a new thing!
