Out for dinner with friends to the latest Cambridge eating sensation that is Vanderlyle. Run by Masterchef finalist Alex Rushmer and a bloke called Sam we know from the Salisbury, it uses completely seasonal ingredients to prepare a constantly changing menu. It’s also vegetarian, and brilliant. The food was unbelievably good, Alex and his team were on hand to explain the dishes, including a salad with 31 ingredients, and the drinks pairing. A lot of the produce comes from a farm in the next village and some of the beer is from Wylde Sky so it really is local.
