The Scar

We went to a lawyer's office to sort out some paperwork and this was the view. The flatish area is called the Scar. Many years ago it was a quarry and very ugly. When it closed various groups got together to reclaim the land. Twenty years later it looks much better and is home to a group of big horn sheep. Due to our arid climate and altitude, it will be generations before it is whole again.
