I went up to Longshaw this morning to do a shift in the Welcome Building. Today is World Rangers Day and Lucy, one of our rangers, had invited other rangers from across the Peak District to help with a fun event for kids with lots of hands-on activities across the estate. Sadly, because the weather forecast was so bad, the decision was taken to scale back and have just a few activities in our indoor facility. It was the right call as the weather was indeed dreadful and we had relatively few visitors.
