Bumps in the Road

All aboard!

After waking up in the Rockstar apartment, the wee man opened the curtains, revealing the urban sprawl of Bangalore.

"Wow" he said.  "It's absolutely beautiful.  Look at all those houses.  They're amazing.  I see red, yellow, purple, green.  It's so pretty Dada"

It's quite amazing to see the world through children's eyes sometimes.  The poverty and disparity of wealth is completely lost on the kids - but it's also a wonderful experience to have them focus on the positives.

After taking out time to shake off the jet-lag, we headed over to a Khandani Rajdhani, a nearby Thali restaurant that I had told Nikki about from previous trips.

As a thali restaurant, you're given a huge tray with numerous smaller bowls within it.  The waiters serve you all manner of different dishes and continuously top them up as you go.

As great as the food was, it was the little lady that was the star attraction for at least 10-12 different people asked for selfies with her!

At one point I feared it was getting too much but as soon as we left she reached over to me and whispered "Everyone wanted to have a photo with me because I am just sooo cute"

We went out again in the evening to another of my favourite restaurants.  This time, Oota, that served local Karnataka food.
