A Wonderful Beginning

So today was my 21st and my Dad bought me a digital SLR! Probably to stop me borrowing his so much but I was so excited to have my own camera and couldn't wait to start taking pictures with it. I unwrapped my presents in the morning, picked Michael up from Wigan and took off to Knaresborough with the family and a very squeaky Staffie.

It was a lovely chilled day playing with my new camera and the dog. We had a wander and then ate dinner and a sublime apple pie at a little waterfront cafe in front of a log-burning stove.

After we explored some ruins we headed back to the car and on the way I spotted these pretty Christmas lights in one of the trees and snapped a picture. A new year and a new camera seemed like a good place to start this Blipfoto, hopefully I'll be able to keep it up...
