Quite a day for blips. A big crane at KB to install bits of the power plant, lots of painted ladies, the rats at Blackford Pond. In the afternoon one of the students came with a more unusual question: what to do with the gull chick stuck in the bear pit (usually the place where the pigeons get it). We watched it for a while communicating with the adults. Lots of calling but no feeding and no Gizmos to hand. We boxed the chick (see extra) and released it outside the building. Quite funny we haven't seen the oyster catcher chicks in a while.
