Out on the hills

A new year's day walk up in the hills in Wales. The first walk where there wasn't rain threatening which made for a really nice change.

The Dee valley was even more flooded than a couple of days ago, looking like a silver film across the valley floor with trees poking out.

Lots of sheep up on the top of the hills, and I think with the weather they were less inclined to move than usual but rather just stood and stared. This one was quite usefully on the brow of the hill making it really stand out.

Found it really difficult to separate the sheep from the background on this one. Needed very different changes on the cloud compared to the sheep, and making it so it didn't have a black line or a white halo was tricky - and still not 100% sure I've got it right!
