Rough

Twenty-three out today for Tuesday's walk with Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers. Starting at the Falkirk Wheel, we walked westwards, joining the Antonine Wall at Rough Castle and then followed the Roman Military Road across the Rowantree Burn (pictured) and towards Bonnybridge. There we joined the Forth & Clyde Canal and returned to our start-point (see extra).

It was dry and surprisingly warm for a walk which is a regular on our programme. We were also pleased that the underfoot conditions weren't too muddy or slippy, given some recent downpours.
