Torrential rain today as we all headed to my mother’s flat to help with the sorting out. Wipers on full blast and, as the blip shows, a huge amount of surface water all very the roads.

Lots of sorting and categorising and working out who might want what. Trips to the tip. And much packing g gods to take back to our already overcrowded house.

Our daughter and partner had arrived from Lancaster a bit before us. The weather was so bad on the M74 that they missed the turn off for their usual stop. Arrived safely and their dog and our began to circle each other again.

Shopping and hospital visit undertaken - and cat visits completed - we settled down for a family meal. And dried out!
