waiting for the storm

miserably humid and hot day, the only saving grace was  supposed to be a big rain storm with thunder and lightning.  This afternoon, I moved all the vulnerable plants, put out the rain buckets & had the happy anticipation of a break in the weather (finally!) -  I think it drizzled for a half hour in our neighborhood.  a few miles away got the downpour.  I am feeling irrationally cranky and longing to live somewhere where it NEVER gets hot!  sigh.
