A week of low white carb meals
As part of my weight loss journey involving diet and exercise I am avoiding easy (white) carbs, e.g. potatoes, bread, pasta, rice, pastry ....,whilst consuming at least 750g of vegetables with my evening meal. This is my main meals for the last 7 days. It’s lucky that I have an allotment which provides a bountiful supply of fresh vegetables and that I have acquired a taste for broad beans and baked beetroot, as there’s a glut of them. Most of the protein is obtained from strong cheese although a couple of the meals included chicken. For desert these main meals were followed by 250g summer berries, 25g oat bran and 200g full fat Greek yogurt.
