A surprise and a delight

August is all about birthdays in our family. Helpfully one of the birthday girls has given us some clues so we headed to a new place to find an antiques centre.
Elsecar Heritage Centre has an antiques centre. And a fabulous set of old buildings. And little shops. And a steam railway. And an historic pumping engine. And cafes. It even had sunshine.
Can't believe we've never been before.
In other news the River Calder peaked just before it flooded the allotment. Pheew.
