Summer Fun......

Some sand sculptures entered in the Waikuku Beach Sand Sculpture competition. They all looked amazing and requiring lots of work. The sculptors had two hours to complete their sculptures, not long really as some were very detailed, not sure who won as Daughter E, her girlfriend V and I did a late afternoon trip to the beach just before the tide comes in.

The top and bottom images go together, front and back and love the fish, there were many it was hard to choose what to blip.

Plenty of people enjoying the beach today, swimming, fishing and playing but it was very windy with strong gusty nor'west wind picking up the sand and flinging it in all directions.

I'm touched by all of the lovely words and fav's left for me for yesterday's sunrise, thank you so much - it was an early start and I faded quite quickly towards the end of the day.

Other news I've caught a bug, who gets sick in summer! Not quite the start I had anticipated for the New Year, feeling queasy, feverish with a tickly throat and very drained, early to bed tonight. Hope its not a sign of things to come.

Anyway, if you have any young children in your house, this one is for them and for big kids to - enjoy!!
