"Deep" rhymes with "weep"...

This month I've challenged myself to write a poem
every day. I've also challenged myself to blip every day this year, so why not just post January's poems here?

if January first comes
in a foggy winter haze,
and you had hoped it marked an end
to last year's weepy ways,
feel free to drink and nap and read
and let your eyes go glazed
but NEVER watch "Deep Water"
on grey, drizzly New Year's Days :'(
