Eyed A Tiger
Ollie dog and I went to the Wildlife Trusts Festival of Wildlife at Panshanger Park again today. She was such a well-behaved girl, I was so proud of her.
We listened to a very interesting talk about eels. They're difficult to monitor as, unlike fish, they don't have scales. One can tell the age of a fish from its scales. The only way to tell the age of an eel is to examine its ear after death.
I found this gorgeous Jersey tiger moth on hemp-agrimony. I've never seen one before. They used to be quite rare but have recently started colonising the London area. I beckoned the experts over and they took it to the resident artist who added it to his wall of 'finds'. :)
